REMINISCENCE OF ABIDJAN
If my trip to Abidjan was a song it will be Intro by Bongeziwe Mabandla. This moving song embodies perfectly the beauty of Africa and portrays all the emotions I felt when I landed in Ivory Coast.
AFRICA, the land of my ancestors - an unknown destination but so familiar at the same time.
My journey to Abidjan was poetic, sincere and simple. Ivory Coast is truly a beautiful country with its green landscapes and its cultural richness, as well as the busy and hectic daily life. What struck me the most in Abidjan is the hustle, the real one!
They are trips that make us forget our daily routine and allow us to escape time for a moment and there are journeys like this that allow us to reconnect with ourselves and our history. Those ones change us forever.
Africa is not a destination. Africa is a journey, a living journey that brings us back to the source - the heart of Humanity.
